Sara Moyo is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Law Department at Honey & Blanckenberg. She holds BL (Honours) and LLB degrees from the University of Zimbabwe.
After graduating from law school, Sara commenced her legal career in private practice at Brighton & Cole Bowen. She then joined Honey & Blanckenberg and was for several years a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.
In 2007 Sara joined the Intellectual Property Law Department at Honey & Blanckenberg where she advises clients on intellectual property law. The latter field encompasses copyright and allied rights, patents, industrial designs, trademarks, internet commerce, traditional knowledge and biodiversity, unfair competition laws, licensing of intellectual property, and the assignment of intellectual property rights.
Sara advises on infringement of intellectual property law, conducts litigation for enforcement of intellectual property rights, and also attends to the filing and prosection of patent, industrial design and trademark applications in Zimbabwe and the African Regional Industrial Property Organisation (ARIPO).
Sara is the current President of the Zimbabwe Institute of Patent and Trademark Agents.
