Tony Passaportis

LLB (Honours) (London)

Tony is Senior Partner at Honey & Blanckenberg. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London, United Kingdom. Apart from a sabbatical in 1977 after being admitted, he has practised with the firm continuously for almost four decades.

Over the years Tony has practised law in most of the firm’s various departments.

Tony has expertise in commercial and corporate matters, including the establishment of trusts, litigation, drafting and giving advice, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.

 He has acted for clients in disputes in the superior courts and in arbitration referrals. He represents a number of prominent corporations, including companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.

Tony takes a keen interest in current affairs, the arts and sport.

 

 

Dave Rosser

BL   LLB (Rhodesia)

Dave is a Partner in the Conveyancing Department at Honey & Blanckenberg. He holds BL and LLB degrees from the University of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).

Dave has been practising with Honey & Blanckenberg for more than three decades. He is the Head of the Conveyancing Department and specialises in the conveyance of immovable property and the registration of mortgage bonds and notarial general covering bonds.


 

 

 

Sara Moyo

BL (Honours)  LLB (University of Zimbabwe)

Sara Moyo is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Law Department at Honey & Blanckenberg. She holds BL (Honours) and LLB degrees from the University of Zimbabwe.

After graduating from law school, Sara commenced her legal career in private practice at Brighton & Cole Bowen. She then joined Honey & Blanckenberg and was for several years a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.

In 2007 Sara joined the Intellectual Property Law Department at Honey & Blanckenberg where she advises clients on intellectual property law. The latter field encompasses copyright and allied rights, patents, industrial designs, trademarks, internet commerce, traditional knowledge and biodiversity, unfair competition laws, licensing of intellectual property, and the assignment of intellectual property rights.

Chris Kimberley

BL (Honours) LLB (Zimbabwe)

Chris is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Law Department at Honey & Blanckenberg. Chris holds BL (Honours) and LLB degrees from the University of Zimbabwe.

After graduating from law school, Chris initially worked in industry for a corporate in the board and paper sector and then joined an accounting firm  where he handled commercial matters such as tax.

Chris then joined the Intellectual Property practice of Galloway & Co. (Zimbabwe) which was subsequently acquired by Honey & Blanckenberg in 2003.

Sarudzayi Njerere

BA  LLB (University of Cape Town)

Sarudzayi is a Partner in the Litigation Department at Honey & Blanckenberg. She holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Sarudzayi commenced her legal career in 1997 as a Public Prosecutor, rising to the position of Law Officer in the Attorney General’s Office. In 2002 she joined Honey & Blanckenberg.

Sarudzayi specialises in both Civil and Criminal litigation. Her areas of practice include commercial law, family law, lease agreements, constitutional and human rights law, labour law and administrative law.

Sarudzayi is the Deputy Chairperson of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and a part time lecturer of Roman-Dutch Law at the University of Zimbabwe.

 

Batanai Peresuh

LLB (Zimbabwe) LLM (Stellenbosch)

Batanai is a Partner in the Litigation Department at Honey & Blanckenberg. He holds a LLB degree from the University of Zimbabwe and an LLM from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Prior to joining Honey & Blanckenberg in 2009, Batanai worked in private practice.

Batanai’s areas of practice at Honey & Blanckenberg include trade and commercial law, labour law, and general litigation.
