Honey & Blanckenberg is a prominent intellectual property agent in the African Regional Industrial Property Organization (ARIPO), which is headquartered in Harare, Zimbabwe.

ARIPO is a non-governmental organisation which was created in 1976 with the objective of, among other things:

• accepting and examining applications for registration of intellectual property rights in patents, industrial designs and utility models, granting/registering patents, industrial designs and utility models, and  administering such granted/registered intellectual property rights on behalf of member States of ARIPO.
  
  
• accepting trademark applications, registering and administering such registered trademarks on behalf of the member states that are party to the Banjul Protocol on trademarks.

• promoting the development of the industrial property laws and activities of the states which are party to the Lusaka Agreement under which ARIPO was established.
